The rules that govern use of the LinkShift website and Discord bot.
These Terms of Service apply to the LinkShift website and the LinkShift Discord bot.
Effective date: July 23, 2026. By accessing the website, inviting the bot, or using the bot in a Discord server, you agree to these terms.
LinkShift is a Discord bot that watches administrator-selected channels for supported music links and replies with a smart-link destination when it can safely resolve one.
The website provides public information about the bot and related legal pages. The service is offered on an as-is and as-available basis.
You may use LinkShift only in compliance with applicable law and the rules, terms, and policies that apply to the platforms involved, including Discord.
If you configure LinkShift for a server, you represent that you have the authority to manage that server or channel setup.
You may not use LinkShift to violate Discord rules, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, harvest data, overload external providers, or abuse the bot in a way that harms other users or the operator.
You may not rely on LinkShift for unlawful, deceptive, or rights-infringing activity, including reposting or redirecting content in violation of the rules of the source platform.
LinkShift depends on Discord and may reference or interact with third-party services such as smart-link providers, music services, hosting providers, and streaming platforms linked by users.
Those third-party services are not controlled by LinkShift and remain subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and content rules.
Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time, including support for specific platforms, providers, or link formats.
Access to the website or bot may be restricted, suspended, or terminated if needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, provider changes, or abuse prevention.
LinkShift is provided without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or accurate for every provider and every link.
Smart-link generation depends on third-party platforms and the information available from them. Some links may be skipped, mismatched, unavailable, or become invalid if upstream providers change behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LinkShift and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, business, goodwill, or availability arising from use of the website or bot.
If liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, it is limited to the amount, if any, paid directly for the service in the twelve months before the claim. If no amount was paid, that limit is zero.
Use of LinkShift is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which describes how service-related data is processed and stored.
By using the bot or website, you acknowledge that limited technical, configuration, and operational data may be processed as described in that policy.
